ABOUT US

Our Story

We, Imaan and Victoria, graduated together from Cambridge University in 2017, after ten years of friendship that began as schoolmates. We have both always been curious, ambitious and academic individuals, so creating a tutoring platform to share this has been a goal of ours for some time. The Covid-19 pandemic motivated us to turn this into a reality, as we reflected on the importance of flawless digital education and observed the possible shortcomings of schools in achieving this.

Why Compass Tutors?

We co-founded Compass Tutors as a response to the current educational climate. This new physical distance students have from their teachers can risk stagnant lessons, dry interactions and a loss of motivation. However, through rigorous research and practice, Compass Tutors have developed training to support tutors in providing flexible, interactive and stimulating lessons. Virtual learning can be just as fun and successful as a classroom environment!

As a passionate part-time tutor and volunteer working with young people, I have developed a desire to pass on knowledge and enthusiasm for learning. Pursuing a career in Marketing & Communications has equipped me with the ability to actualise this ambition through Compass Tutors, ensuring its smooth and professional running.

As a teacher at a leading Girls' Secondary School, and having undergone a Masters in Education, my expertise and love for academia are clear.
